All About CHEEKBONES! and how to fake the perfect set!

Hi my loves!

So if you’re not blessed with naturally protruding, high sculpted cheekbones – fear not! it’s nothing that a little makeup can’t fake!

Right, Step 1: Choose a nice gentle contouring shade. If you’ve got a darker skin tone, you can use any bronzer that you like. If you’re pale, i’d suggest ‘Harmony’ blush from MAC. On a big, fluffy angled contouring brush, gently sweep the colour underneath your natural cheekbone. If you can’t find one – do the fish.

Step 2: Choose a darker shade. The key here is that you want to create the illusion of depth. I use ‘Wheat’ from Bobbi Brown, which is just a light taupe MATTE (!!) eyeshadow! You can use anything that’s darker than your original shade. On a smaller brush, you want to apply a tiny bit of this darker shade, at the bottom of where you applied the original ย contour shade. Here’s a link to my video, if i’m not making sense:

Step 3: This is optional, but it makes a difference. Highlight the high points of the cheekbones, and sweep it up into the temples. I like The Balm’s ‘Mary-Lou Manizer’.

Step 4: Apply your blush. Choose the shade depending on your skin tone. Apply the blush to the apples of your cheeks, and blending what’s left on your brush, up and away into your contouring and highlight. You want all these products to blend in seamlessly.

And that my friends, is all it takes! Kim Kardashians chubby cheekbones aint got nuthin on us! ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. Hi Magdalena! I filmed the tutorial for the smoky eyes and red lip that’s in the thumbnail yesterday so that should be up this week! ๐Ÿ™‚ the dark colour in my hair is my natural colour, I get blonde highlights added to it. xo

  2. This blog and video were so helpful to me. You see women with this makeup yet you try to do it and never quite know how they achieved it. I have a round face and the smallest forehead in the world. Lol. This tip with the wheat color also really helped me define a false set of beautiful cheekbones. Now if only I could Get my blusher on the Apples just right. My problem is because my face is so round I have no apples either. So it sort of looks like I just have blusher floating there. Any tips? Thank you so much for your videos. You are a beautiful inspiration to us all.
